IT Roundtable: Help Desk
For the past two Days Shane and I have been attending the IT Round Table out a Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS. As we filter through the mass amounts of data that we have crammed in our head we’ll attempt to post some of the info we’ve gathered while we are here. I can’t speak to how helpful this un-conference has been to our view of our vision and our desire to get back to work and do some amazing things. It’s encouraging and amazing to struggle with an issue for months, walk into a room of your peers and have some one say…oh you should look at X. And your months of searching is over…..It will never stop amazing me how much a different perspective can change everything. Here are some great links from our friends at IT Round table about Help Desk tools. Current at KCBT we don’t have a system in place but this conference has definitely made me realize it’s time to step up our game.

I agree, what you describe is pretty amazing! I’m tired, worn out, and really excited (and on information overload) about everything that just happened at the Roundtable! And that’s a good list of helpdesks (we use HelpSpot), thanks for posting it. I also found several Church IT blogs I didn’t know were out there, to add to Google Reader, including yours.
Can’t wait to see how Spiceworks “works” for us!
Just now discovering your blog also. Was nice to talk with you and Shane the past few days. Good to see another Huckabee supporter also!
Do let me know if you guys need any help with Asterisk…
I love finding new IT guys blogs. I am in the process of trying to get a fit for a help desk system to help streamline our work.
the citrt was just an amazing exeperience.. thats for sure
Hi Jim,
Very glad to be at the top of your list!
Please note also that we are happy to give away free licenses to charities!
